Mahalo (thanks) for visting my website.
I take photos because I just love to.
I've always had a love for photography. As a child, I loved being in front of the camera but in later years found myself even happier behind the camera. Which ever side of the lens you're on, I believe that photography should be enjoyable, comes naturally, and clever.

My first camera was my Dad's Pentax K1000 film camera which I kept borrowing until it become mine. Architectural design school taught me the finer points of design and the environment, MIS schooling made me comfortable with technology. Theatre and music helped sharpen the other senses. I feel very fortunate to be able combine all these elements when taking my photos.
The digital age brought about a renewed interest in photography and with it's ability to provide instant gratification I was sold! A dozen or more digital cameras later I decided on a set of Canon EOS DSLR cameras and lenses; and have not looked back since.
My favorite subjects are food, people, and architecture.
Currently, I'm based in Hawai'i and I'm a member of the Professional Photographers of Hawai'i Association. Hawai'i is an awesome place for photography.
Thanks for dropping by. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my work, a project you might like to start, or even if it is about Hawai'i.
My motto: "Making ordinary look extra-ordinary!"
Aloha,
Mike
